Giorgio Armani Donates One Million Dollars to NY Schools




With the purpose to enrich artistic and creative programs in New York public schools, Giorgio Armani donated one million dollars.
His donation went to "Fund for Public Schools," a non lucrative association whos mission is to help unfavorable students.
«I want to give the young a chance to dream», said Armani.

This 'travel collection' counts with week-end bags, two day purses, one zipper wallet and a passport wallet, all in leather.
They come in various colors, no monogram other than golden « Louis Vuitton » in capital letters.

Four Personalities Style Four Different Prada Boutiques


Prada has asked four fashion personalities to re design the look of four different Prada boutiques adding them their own vision and style.
Alex White from W magazine will be in charge of the one in New York, Katie Grand from Love magazine for the one in London, Olivier Rizzo from various magazines such as V, Another and Arena Homme Plus for the one in Milano, and Carine Roitfeld the editor for French Vogue will be responsible for the store in Paris.

Salvador Gandara, Guatemala's Minister of Interior has prohibited his female collaborators to use short skirts and low necklines while at office hours.
His reason to doing so, is to keep the 'good image.'
Feminist reactions stated that a good image of an institution does not depend on a persons aspects, but on his or hers concrete actions.

Giorgio Armani's Polemical Comment


While in Paris, Armani was quoted- Rome "has killed high fashion by showcasing people who didn't merit it."
For Italians, this was the wrong button being pushed..
"An Italian in Paris should not be discrediting Italian work at a time of economic crisis for fashion and the biggest catwalk shows get underway in Italy," said Stefano Dominella, former chairman of Rome Fashion Week.
"Armani should be more patriotic. His name is so strong, he should not make provocations of this kind."
