Clovis Wilson Copp

Clovis, one of the most stylish and creative jewelry designer and artist I have ever met.
Would love to steal half his clothes and why not, a bit of his rock star style.
Would also love to sit him for hours and attack him with questions about his mother's famous George Tavern in the East End of London.. Fascinating stories, fascinating people.
He sells in various places in London, but doesn't have a website yet..
English but in love with Colombia, where he spends long periods of time throughout the year, mostly in Santa Marta.

Mai Lamore Shoes

27, 945 USD is the price to pay for Mai's 18K Gold Rose Shoe. The bee on the hand-dryed petals is made out of gold, onyx and agate.

Mai Lamore Interview

Mai Lamore's shoes are a true piece of luxury art. Her shoes are made out of 18 karat gold and precious stones.
I had the opportunity to ask her a couple of questions...

Q: What mostly inspires you for your collections?
A: I get my inspiration from the street, from museums. I find many things inspiring. At the moment I can see something that will inspire me from the form of a heel or the fabric of a shoe; the shape of a branch, the movement of a feline's hind leg or the texture of a rose just opening.

Q: Most inspiring place you have ever been/seen?
A: Big cities inspire me the most: Paris, London, New York for the architecture of the cities, the sound of voices in the street and the different music to be heard.

Q: What has been the best fashion advice you have received, and from whom?
A: I've never really received any advice. I function by instinct and intuition.

Q: Who would you like to see wearing your shoes?
A: My high luxury models are destined for the women who's looking for rare and exclusive footwear, unique creations that she wont see on another woman's feet.

Q: Which shoe designers do you admire?
A: I admire Jan Jansen. But it was Manolo Blahnik who first made me want to design shoes.

Amelia Toro

Amelia Toro was simply brilliant.
Her show took place at the Botanical Garden of Medellin.
Just walking through the garden when arriving to her show was as magical as the opening of the show was.
Her entire collection gathered inside this garden becoming a part of it. Her clothes were flowing within their natural movements, colors and patterns as naturally as her bird cage purses and butterfly bandanas made the girls look as fairies, flowers and birds.
Beautiful backs on the dresses, beautiful shoes as well!

Colombiamoda

Today, being my first time visiting Colombiamoda in Medellin I went to Maria Luisa Ortiz, Pepa Pombo and Divino's show.
They were all sporty due to the fact of Nike's cooperation with them.
The three of them had pretty much the same characteristics of bright colored comfortable wear, that gave a free and young spirit feeling, despite the fact of older looking models if we were to compare with the ones seen at other runways around world.

Beginner

I never imagined myself doing what I am about to do..
Never imagined being one of those, who's computer and camera would become ones unconditional companion..
But here I am doing a fashion blog. I was proposed to create this blog which can later become part of a very well known magazine who's name I prefer to keep to myself, just so I don't jinx it!
I'm not an expert for this, but using my other abilities such as my creativity and my good eye; fingers crossed, that little proposal can become a reality.
